Description
Bremelanotide (PT–141) is a synthetic cyclic heptapeptide analog of a–melanocyte-stimulating hormone (a-MSH). It is a potent agonist of melanocortin receptors, particularly MC3R and MC4R.

Contraindications & Warnings

Warnings

Administration Instructions
- Attach a sterile needle.
- Dial your dose (e.g., 24 clicks = 1.0 mg).
- Clean injection site (abdomen or thigh) with alcohol swab.
- Insert needle at 45-90° angle and inject slowly.
- Withdraw needle, dispose safely, and cap the pen.
- Rotate injection sites.
- Always inspect solution: Do not inject if cloudy, discoloured, or containing particles.
Side Effects
Common or potential reactions include:
- Mild to moderate nausea (most common, usually temporary)
- Flushing, headache, or light-headedness
- Injection-site irritation or redness
